Third-country nationals in construction [Webinar recording]

The new regulations regarding third-country nationals under the Flemish Due Diligence Obligation will take effect on January 1, 2026. This measure raises more questions than answers in the sector - especially since non-EU workers make up a significant portion of the workforce. All the more reason to discuss it with an expert.

In this webinar - part of our expert-led series on current challenges in the construction sector - we combined technology with labor law expertise to look at practical applications.

Our partners from the specialized law firm Mploy explained topics such as:

  • Labor migration and the difference between residence and work permits
  • Chain liability regarding labor migrants: a maze of rules
  • Current regulations in Flanders, including additional due diligence requirements
  • …and more

In short, it was an important session for contractors, subcontractors, and clients with construction projects in Flanders.

The recording is in Dutch. Want to watch it in another language? Just turn on the subtitles.

"The required documents must be continuously requested from the subcontractor and also kept on record."
